Nordish by nature…Born in the Emsland in northwest Germany, later studies in Groningen, Bremen and Cologne. Afterwards, I was attracted by the north again and moved to Hamburg in December 2009.
Since then I have been working as a freelance interpreter in the Hanseatic City and beyond. With my degree in International Business and Management I first specialized in topics around finance and economics. But very quickly new fields of work evolved, be it at one-day conferences on plant variety protection or – in a blue overall – during welding workshops lasting several months.
In-depth preparation of all new subjects – with regard to language and content – is not only an indispensable part of our professional code of ethics, it is what makes our profession so exciting and enriching.
